Frequently Asked Questions
I am a Muslim on campus. Is there a place I can pray and make wudu`?

Yes, alhamdulillah! We have both a prayer room and wudu` facilities in the Stony Brook Union building, second floor. The prayer room is room 248. There are separate entrances for brothers and sisters [the brothers' is closer to room 247 while the sisters' is closer to room 249] and the Wudu` stations are just down the hall on your right [brothers in the Men's bathroom and Sisters in the Women's Bathroom...that ought to be obvious.].

Do you have Jumu'ah on campus?

Yes, there is Jumu’ah every week during the academic year [and often in the Summer as well]. First adhan is at 1:15 and we aim to finish by 2 everyday. During the school year it is most often held in the Union Ballroom, while during the Summer, it usually occurs in the prayer room itself (Room 248).
